What is the BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain tyre?

BFGoodrich has just launched its new Trail Terrain tyre here in the UK. This BFGoodrich trail terrain ta is a brand new design that has all the quality and performance you’d expect from BFG, with an all-season on/off-road tread pattern.

This is BFG’s all-rounder, sitting between the KO2 All Terrain and the Urban Terrain in their small but excellent range. It’s designed as a 70/30 tyre, so it’s perfect for people who spend more time on the road than off it, but who still need good off-road performance.

Is the BFG TT ta all season?

Yes. The BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain carries the 3PMSF marking. This means it’s approved for harsh European winter use. You’ll get great performance on snow, slush and ice making this an excellent tyre for all-year use.

Is this tyre good off road?

It’s a BFG, so they’ve got a reputation to uphold. We haven’t tested the tyre ourselves yet but early indications are that you’ll get a tyre that performs fairly close to the KO2 All Terrain off-road, but with a quieter and more economical on-road experience.

The square tread pattern uses interlocking blocks of differing sizes, helping to reduce road noise inside the vehicle. This tread pattern along with the heavy side sipes will enable it to unblock mud and snow easily, and the open shoulder design of the tread will help to give a good off-road grip, so this is an all-rounder.

What vehicles does the BFGoodrich Trail Terrain fit?

With 45 different sizes available the Trail-Terrain is available for just about any vehicle that might ever need to go off-road. 4x4s are well-covered, as are SUVs and crossovers.

The tyre is ideal for people who take their vehicles off-road for fishing, camping, shooting, and so on. It will also make a great towing tyre for wet grassy fields, making it perfect for caravanning. We also think it’s a perfect tyre for camper vans, especially swamper-style vehicles.
