Supporting North-East Immediate Care
Helping improve emergency response with the right tyres
The team at 4×4 Tyres is proud to support North-East Immediate Care (NEIC), a local charity providing vital emergency care services across the North East of England. When NEIC put out a call for help on Instagram, seeking new all-terrain tyres for their emergency response vehicle, we knew we had to answer.
As a non-profit organisation, NEIC relies on donations to fulfil its mission. Replacing worn-out tyres represented a significant financial burden that could have diverted resources from patient care. By providing a new set of Gripmax All-Terrain tyres at our Stratford fitting centre, we ensured NEIC’s vehicle remains capable of navigating both paved and off-road terrains, allowing it to continue providing critical support to communities across the region. And, also highly important in the North-East, means their vehicle is capable of tackling the roads, no matter the weather!
What are the benefits of new all-terrain tyres for NEIC?
Enhanced on-road and off-road capabilities:
NEIC responders can now confidently navigate diverse terrains, reaching patients in need regardless of location. You can read here about the difference between All-Terrain Tyres and Mud Terrain Tyres.
Improved handling and grip:
Especially crucial in the North East’s often challenging weather conditions, the new tyres offer better control and stability, enabling a safer, more efficient response.
About North-East Immediate Care:
NEIC is a volunteer-driven charity established by healthcare professionals. They work alongside the North-East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (NEAS) to provide additional immediate care support to the region’s 2.7 million residents, covering an extensive area of over 3,230 square miles.
Since its launch in December 2020, NEIC has:
- Donated over 2,500 hours of volunteer immediate care service.
- Responded to more than 265 emergency calls.
