Always confirm the tyre size, construction, load and speed ratings, and tube requirements for your specific MGB and wheel setup before ordering.

A common MGB tyre size is 155 R14, often written as 155/80 R14, though requirements can vary by vehicle year, specification and wheel type. Some owners fit wider tyres, but this can affect steering feel, clearance and overall rolling diameter.

Check the vehicle handbook, existing tyre markings, and wheel specifications before changing the tyre size.

When choosing MGB tyres, confirm:

• The correct tyre size and construction for the vehicle and wheels.
• Suitable load and speed ratings.
• Whether the wheel-and-tyre combination requires an inner tube.
• That any alternative size provides adequate clearance and the correct rolling diameter.

Inner-tube requirements depend on the wheel-and-tyre combination. Wire wheels and converted or replacement wheels may have different requirements, so confirm compatibility with the tyre manufacturer or a classic-vehicle tyre specialist.

Tyre pressures can also vary by model, tyre construction, wheel setup and operating conditions. Use the vehicle handbook or verified manufacturer guidance rather than relying on a single pressure range for every MGB.

Order your tyres with confidence from a dedicated wheel-and-tyre specialist. Choose fast UK delivery or nationwide fitting, with support available before you buy.
