Calling all off-road enthusiasts and adventure foodies! We’re Elliot and Liam, the team behind Overland Ramble & Cooking Shambles, and we’re passionate about exploring the world through the lens of overlanding and adventure cooking.

Ours isn’t your typical “full send” offroading channel. We’re all about conquering challenging terrain at a sensible pace, prioritizing the mantra “as slow as possible, as fast as necessary” to avoid those dreaded repair bills and damaged green lanes. Our adventures take advantage of our locations – nearly 100 miles apart – allowing us to explore the best offroad routes across the UK, both north and south.

But Overland Ramble & Cooking Shambles is more than just us hitting the trails. We’re building a community! We believe in the power of conversation around a campfire, sharing stories fuelled by delicious food and refreshing drinks. We may not be the most skilled offroad drivers or fancy field cooks, but that’s the beauty of it – we’re all on this journey of discovery together.

So, where to next?

After countless UK adventures, we craved new landscapes, flavours, and experiences. Azerbaijan, with its dramatic scenery, challenging offroad travel, and incredible cuisine, initially sparked our wanderlust. However, with unrest in Eastern Europe, we opted for a slightly tamer (but no less exciting) first international trip: Spain!

Spain – A Feast for the Senses

Spain is a land of vibrant culture, renowned for its delectable small plates (tapas!), passionate bullfighting traditions (not our cup of tea!), and of course, the majestic Picos de Europa mountains. ️ This is where our adventure truly begins!

We’ll be setting sail from Portsmouth to Santander, marking the official kick-off of our Spanish expedition. Throughout this blog, we’ll be documenting the entire journey, from meticulous route planning to the nitty-gritty details of our overlanding experiences and adventure cooking creations.
